How long can be extended a cable for rotary encoder?！

The cables for totem pole output type, open collector output type and collector output type can be extended up to 10m. The cable for line driver output type can be extended up to 100m. However, the following phenomena could happen when the cables are extended. (Collector/open collector type) Please consider these before using.

• Rising time of the output pulses will be longer. 
• Decrease in response frequency 
• Change of phase difference characteristics at A/B phase 

Be sure to connect a shield wire to the ground when you wire the cable. In case of line driver output type, be sure to use the shielded twisted pair cables and the outer shield.
