About the power supply and the connection between encoder and PLC:

There are three general encoder work power: 13 Vdc or 5 Vdc, 5-11-26 Vdc. If you buy the encoder is 11-26 VDC, can use the 24 v supply to the PLC, is important to note:

1. The encoder electricity flow in the power of the PLC power range.

2. The encoder, a parallel output, connected to the PLC I/O points, need to understand the encoder signal level is push-pull type, or push-pull output or open collector output, so the open collector output, there are N and P type two kinds, should be the same as the polarity of PLC I/O. So there's nothing wrong with push-pull type output is connected.

3. The encoder, a driver output, general signal level is 5 v, be careful when you connect, don't let the noise of 24 v power supply in series with level 5 v signal wiring to the damaged encoder signal.
