What is "encoder Resolution"?！

The pulse count of an incremental encoder signal output when the shaft revolves once, To absolute  encoder, it is equivalent to divide 360° to much parts.  For example, the resolution is 256P/R, it means 360° is equally divided to 256. One code will be output when it rotates 1.4°. The unit of resolution is P/R.
