Encoder Precautions

    
(1) Install
    
Do not direct impact is applied to the shaft during installation.
    
Connect the encoder shaft to the machine, use a flexible connector. When the shaft mounted connector, not pushed hard. Even with the connector, due to poor installation, it is possible to add than the allowable axle load bigger load, or cause dial core and, therefore, pay special attention to.
    
Bearing life use conditions, the affected load bearing particularly large. The bearing load smaller than a predetermined load, can greatly extend bearing life.
    
Do not disassemble the rotary encoder, to do so would undermine the anti-oil and anti-drip properties. Drip-proof product is not long-term immersion in water, oil, surface water, oil should be wiped clean.
    
(2) Vibration
    
Applied to the rotary encoder vibration, they tend to be the reason for error pulse occurs. We should therefore set the place, the installation site attention. The number of pulses per revolution occurred more space more narrow slot groove rotating disk, the more susceptible to vibration. In the low-speed rotation or stopped, it applied to the shaft or the rotating body vibration groove disc jitter, pulse error may occur.
    
(3) wiring and connections on
    
Incorrect wiring may damage the internal circuit, it should give full attention to the wiring:
    
① wiring should be in the power OFF state, when power is turned on, if the output power line contact, then sometimes damage to the output circuit.
    
② If wiring errors, and sometimes damage to the internal circuit, it should give full attention to the polarity of the power supply wiring and the like.
    
3 If and power lines, power lines parallel wiring, it may sometimes cause malfunction by induction into the damage, so be separated further wiring.
    
④ When extension cords should be 10m or less. And due to the distribution capacity of the wire, the waveform rise and fall times will be longer, there is a problem with Schmitt circuit and so the waveform shaping.
    
⑤ To avoid inductive noise, etc., to try to use the shortest distance wiring. When the input to the integrated circuit, in particular, need to pay attention.
    
6 wire extended, due to the impact between the conductor resistance and wiring capacitance, the waveform rise and fall times longer, prone to interference (crosstalk) between the signals, so a small application of resistance, low capacitance between the line wires (twisted pair, shield).
