What is the difference between spindle encoder and pulse generator ?

Spindle with the spindle encoder uses synchronous optical pulse generator, via the intermediate shaft gear 1: 1 to synchronous transmission. ① sinusoidal signal generator. Mainly used for measuring the frequency characteristics of circuits and systems, nonlinear distortion, gain and sensitivity. According to their different properties and applications can be subdivided into low frequency (20 Hz to 10 MHz) signal generator, high-frequency (100 kHz to 300 MHz) signal generator, microwave signal generators, sweep and programmable signal generator,
frequency synthesis signal generator.

③ pulse generator.
Can produce width, amplitude and repetition rates of the rectangular pulse generator can be used to test the transient response of a linear system, or as an analog signal to test the radar, and other multi-way communication systems digital pulse.
④ random signal generator. Usually divided into noise signal generator and a pseudo random signal generator categories. Noise signal generator main purposes are: the introduction of a random signal in the test system, and the performance measurement system to simulate actual working conditions of noise; plus a known noise signal and an internal system to measure the noise is the noise factor; random signal instead of sine or pulse signal to determine the dynamic characteristics. When using the noise signal correlation function measurement, if the average measurement time is not long enough, there will be a statistical error, it can be used to solve the pseudo random signal.
