Conventional optical encoder disc material is glass, metal, plastic, glass disc is deposited on the glass thin groove, the thermal stability and accuracy can reach the common standard, the general requirements, but easy to break. Metal code directly to the pass and not through the line, not friable, but because there is a certain width of the metal requirements, accuracy is limited, the thermal stability of the glass disc is worse than an order of magnitude. Plastic disc is economical, its cost is low, precision and high temperature can not meet the high requirements.
The magnetic encoder uses magnetic design, through the magnetic induction device, the use of magnetic field changes to produce and provide the absolute position of the rotor, the use of magnetic devices instead of the traditional code disk, make up for the optical encoder of these defects, more seismic , Corrosion resistance, pollution resistance, more reliable performance, the structure is more simple. Incremental encoder encoder is through the code to calculate the accuracy of groove, so the higher the accuracy, code will be larger, the larger the encoder, and the accuracy is not continuous. Magnetic encoders do not have such limitations, can be very small.
