The photoelectric encoder is mainly composed of a grating plate and a photoelectric detecting device. In the servo system, the grating plate is coaxial with the electric motor to cause the rotation of the electric motor to drive the rotation of the grating disk and then output a plurality of pulse signals by the photoelectric detecting device. Seconds pulse number can calculate the current motor speed encoder.

The encoder of the photoelectric encoder outputs two light codes with a phase difference of 90 degrees, and the rotation direction of the motor can be judged according to the change of the state of the dual channel output light code.
