The minimum displacement that the displacement detection system can measure is called resolution. The resolution depends not only on the detection element itself, but also on the measurement circuit.
CNC machine tools on the detection of the main requirements are: ① long life, high reliability, anti-interference ability; ② meet the accuracy and speed requirements; ③ easy to use, suitable for machine operating environment; ④ low cost; ⑤ easy to connect with the computer.
Different types of CNC machine tools on the detection system accuracy and speed requirements are different. The position detection device is an important part of the CNC machine tool servo system. Its role is to detect the displacement and speed, send feedback signal, constitute a closed-loop or semi-closed-loop control. CNC machining accuracy is mainly determined by the accuracy of the detection system. Different types of CNC machine tools, the location of the detection components, the accuracy of the detection system and the measured parts of the maximum speed of movement vary. Now the highest level of detection components and systems is: the maximum speed of the measured components up to 240m / min, the detection of displacement resolution (the minimum amount of displacement can be detected) up to 1μm, such as 24m / min up to 0.1 Μm. The highest resolution can reach 0.01μm.
