Martin Decker is a special device to measure the depth in logging industry. Logging cable through Martin Decker, Driving the measuring wheel to rotate, the rotating photoelectric encoder outputs the pulse signal synchronously and gives the feedback of the depth and speed of measurement cables.

3. Fitting Encoders
Roundss provides RCC38S6 optical rotary encoder for oil logging truck application. Reinforced DCC38S6 series optical rotary encoder with higher Protection Class is more suitable in the oil enviroment. It could resist the oil and dust.

4. Notes when mounting

The optical encoder in oil logging truck - Martin Decker system is directly mounted to the housing of martin decker with a hard screw connecting the shaft of encoder with the running shaft of wheel. If the shaft of optical encoder and the wheel shaft of the martin decker is not in a line, it easily occurs the mistakes or tolerance in depth measurement. By aid of a parallet pad, the probelm could be solved.
