In several parts of the optical fiber write different pitch fiber gratings can be simultaneously measured changes in several parts of the corresponding physical quantity and to achieve quasi - distributed fiber sensing. In short, the application of fiber grating sensor is an emerging field, has a very broad prospects for development.
At present research linear scale sensors there are three main aspects:
1, the sensor itself and the transverse strain sensing and high sensitivity, high resolution, and can simultaneously detecting sensor research measuring strain and temperature variations;
2, the study of signal or transmission grating reflector signal analysis and test systems, the goal is to develop low cost, small size, reliable and sensitive detection technology;
3, the practical application of linear scale sensors research, including packaging technology, temperature compensation technology, sensor network technology.
Currently limit the application of fiber grating sensor main obstacle is demodulated sensing signal demodulation method being studied a lot, but the practical application of the demodulation can not many products, and higher prices. Secondly, fiber grating sensors other issues are also important, such as:
1, due to the limited bandwidth of the light source, while the application of the general requirements for the reflection spectrum of the grating can not overlap, so you can re-use the limited number of gratings;
2, how to achieve in the composite multi-axial simultaneous measurement of strain, in order to reproduce multi-axial strain morphology subject's body;
3, how to achieve large-scale, high-precision, fast real-time measurement;
4, how to properly distinguish between the grating wavelength change is caused by temperature changes caused by the stress or strain and the like.
Effectively solve the above problems to achieve low-cost, stable, high-resolution, large measuring range, multi-grating multiplexed sensing system is important.
Grating sensor has the following characteristics ① high precision. Grating sensors in large measuring length or terms of linear displacement sensor just below the laser interferometer. The circular indexing and continuous angular displacement measurement, grating sensors among the highest accuracy.
② large measuring both high resolution. Synchronous and induction magnetic grating sensor also has a large range of measurement features, resolution and accuracy but not as grating sensors.
③ enables dynamic measurement, easy to automate measurement and data processing.
④ has strong anti-jamming capability, environmental conditions, unlike laser interferometric sensor as strict, but not as synchronous and induction magnetic grating sensor adaptable, oil and dust can affect its reliability. Mainly applied in the laboratory and better environmental workshop.
